As the name implies…..we have been blessed in our searches with “finds” from….. where ever we go.
First I would like to say we are not purest in the Antique world. We live with our antiques and collectibles which we like to honor in display.
We like to mix and match and use our collections to our advantage and to please the eye.
We can’t begin to know it all and must research as anyone can these days from the internet. It seems easier than leafing through a big book and trying to catch a glance of something similar OR that very item. One has to be careful for there are lots of reproductions, some of which are quite good.
I think the search for those special items is what makes collecting so enjoyable. I read somewhere it’s ok to want to collect things that are alike and keep them together. I was so glad to see that, because while not so neat in all areas of life, I do like order in the “Turtle Room” and the “Drummer Boys” show case. Now you know two of my passions of the “Hunt”.
